I have been married to a man who is a real drinker. I have seen him a few times, and he usually drives home after a few beers. I noticed how he would react to things differently when he was drunk, and realized that he was actually a very different person. When he was sober, he didn’t care much for me, and was very mean to me.

Sometimes he would yell at me and say horrible things to me. When he was drunk, however, the situation reversed. He would start talking nice to me and be very affectionate.

He would tell me that I was beautiful and asked me out on dates whenever we went out to eat or went shopping. I never realized how much a drink could change a person until I got married to him. I stayed because of the love we had for each other, but it has been hard on my self-esteem with all these changes in personality.
