We must realize that even though the sacred text of the scriptures could never be improved or changed, flesh certainly can!

About This Quote

A lot of people who follow their religion are very rigid in their beliefs. This is something that I have seen in people coming from the religions of both my parents, which makes me think that my mother is great at being religious and my father is great at getting out of the way. It seems like the same religions are being passed down generation after generation. Many people do not want to break off and create something new and unique because they don’t want to upset the tree.

But, if we don’t put words up on a piece of wood and make it into a scroll, we can make it into a book. We can make it into a story we can learn from and we can add our own words and our own flavor to it.
