There was only one way to the other side, and that was through the pain.

About This Quote

The author Socrates told a story in which he described his journey to the Oracle at Delphi. He wanted to know the meaning of life, but when he finally arrived at the place where he could ask the Oracle, he found that he could not make it past the first question. He was too afraid to ask any more questions for fear of what she might say. But on his way back, he met a man who had been on the same path as him and had asked the Oracle about life. The man, however, had asked about everything and had received an answer for every question.
