Anyone who wishes to destroy humanity's past, desires to destroy its future.

Mario J. Lucero
About This Quote

The more we destroy the past, the less we have to look forward to. Remembering our past is important because it helps us understand what we need to do to improve the future. For example, if we had no record of electrical current, how would we know that lightning is dangerous? If we had no way of understanding electricity, how would we know that it is important? We can't really do anything about the past except learn from it.
