Young-Ha Kim is an author, professor, and professor emeritus of English at Seoul National University. He has taught at universities in the United States (University of Wisconsin) and Korea (Seoul National University). He is the author of over thirty books, including fiction, literary criticism, and translations. He has received several awards for his novels, including the Korean Literature Award (2nd prize), the Korean Culture Award (3rd prize), and the Gwangju Prize (3rd prize)
He was appointed to the National Literature Council by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 1995.
