He has written more than fifty plays and two novels, which have been produced on stage and screen all over the world. As well as having had more than twenty of his plays and four of his films nominated for Olivier Awards, he has twice been awarded the prestigious Olivier Award for Best New Play for Blood Brothers and The Homecoming.
