William Seward is the winner of two 2012 Grammy Awards. He was named one of Rolling Stone magazine's "Top 10 Artists of the Year" and his album "The Water Is Wide" earned him a 2012 Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Album. Elbert, who were all teachers. For most of his childhood he lived with his grandmother Mary Earle Earle. William went to school at the University of South Alabama where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education (voice).
After college he moved to New York City to pursue a career in music. He worked as an Uber driver and lived with musician Jamey Johnson for four months before moving to Nashville to pursue his music career full time.
