William A. Ewing is widely regarded as one of the foremost experts on the great American playwright and author Eugene O’Neill. He has authored and edited more than thirty books and is a frequent contributor to television and radio programs, including "Death of a Salesman" and "A Man for All Seasons". His many plays include "The Deuce", "The Last Angry Man", "Comes a Horseman", "The Lonesome West", and the classic World War I drama "Strange Interlude"
Ewing's other works include "Eugene O'Neill: A Study of the Plays" (Macmillan); "The Eugene O'Neill Encyclopedia" (Greenwood); and co-authored with Robert Mayhew, "Eugene O'Neill: The Man and His Work" (Schocken Books).
