Weam Namou (born 1980) is a French-Lebanese writer and philosopher. He lives between Paris and Beirut. He is the author of the novels Le Fleuve et le miroir (2009), L’Exil (2010), and Nous ne sommes rien (2013). Weam Namou is the recipient of numerous awards including: Prix Nicephore Niepce (France, 2009), Prix d’Europe pour la jeunesse (France, 2010), Prix de l’Académie de lettres d'Alger (Algeria, 2011), Prix du Docent pour la littérature francophone (France, 2011), Grand prix des jeunes écrivains de France (2011), and Prix de littérature d’Algérie (2013). He has also been an invited speaker at conferences and universities around the world.
