Born in 1920, Walt Kelly was a cartoonist for the "Pogo" comic strip (1942-1955) and for "Donald Duck" (1954-1966). He also did covers and illustrated books. He was inducted into the Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 2004; his cartoon "Pogo Possum" won the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben Award in 1956. He died in 1999.
