Vaun Murphrey is a graduate of the University of Georgia. He also holds an MBA from the University of Georgia. Vaun is the founder and president of Vaun Murphrey & Associates, Inc., a consulting firm that helps small businesses achieve corporate social responsibility and corporate social responsibility strategies. Vaun is a regular contributor for a number of major regional publications. He has been featured on NBC's Today Show, CBS' 48 Hours, CNN, and has been interviewed on more than 100 radio stations nationwide. In addition to his regular column in Atlanta Magazine, he writes regular columns for The Atlanta Business Chronicle, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal.
Vaun has been listed as one of America's Top 25 Most Influential Black Business Leaders by Black Enterprise Magazine and voted one of Georgia's Best 50 Entrepreneurs by Georgia Trend Magazine. He has been honored as a Top 40 Rising Star by Multicultural Executive Magazine and as a Top 40 Under 40 by Atlanta Business Chronicle. Vaun was a member of the Board of Directors for the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) for six years and served as Chairman of the NMSDC Executive Committee from 2006-2010.
A native Atlantan, he resides in Buckhead with his wife, Amber Beasley Murphrey, and their children, Anyaah Lynne Murphrey and Jaxon James Murphrey.
