Tyne Daly is an American actress, singer and voice artist. She has appeared in such films as "Ghost", "The Wiz", "The Great White Hope", "The Sandlot" and "Iron Jawed Angels". Her Emmy Award-winning television work includes: "Law & Order", for which she won a Golden Globe and an Emmy; and her Emmy-nominated performance in the NBC miniseries "Triumph of the Spirit". In 1994, she received a Tony Award from the American Theatre Wing for her Broadway performance in Neil Simon's play, "Rumors"
