Tulga Demir is a Turkish writer and a graduate of the Yeditepe University. She is a translator, a journalist and an author of short stories, novels and poetry. Her first novel 'The Hungry Owl' was awarded as a winner at the first prize of the international competition for young writers 'The Hunger Owl Project'. It was also nominated as a finalist at the prestigious annual literary award The Erciyes Book Fair. In 2012, her novel 'Two if By Sea' won the 3rd prize of the Erciyes Book Fair as well as being nominated as a finalist of the 2013 ALBA International Book Fair for Best Turkish Novel.
