Tom Welling was born in Los Angeles, California. Tom spent his early life in Los Angeles, California and when he was 14 years old he moved to San Francisco, California to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Tom began acting in local community theater productions where he performed for many years before landing his first role on Young Hercules in 1997. After Young Hercules ended its run, Tom landed his first major role on Smallville playing Clark Kent
Tom Welling played Clark Kent for eight seasons on the series Smallville. Since then Tom has guest starred on the hit shows Hart of Dixie, Bones, Las Vegas, The Big Bang Theory among others. Tom is happily married to Dana Walley and they live in Burbank, California with their three dogs - Zeus (dog), Rainbow (cat), and Miss Kitty (cat).
