Tom Feiling is a British writer, whose first book My Life with the Prince of Wales was published in 2001, and became an international bestseller. He then wrote The Last King of Scotland, which was chosen as one of the ten best books of the year by the New York Times. He has also written For My Grandchildren, a history of the National Trust for Scotland, which was published in Britain in 2002, and Trust Me I'm An Englishman, a history of the English National Trust. Tom Feiling is also an historian who has written many acclaimed books on Charles Dickens, including The Truth About Dickens and Dickens's Ghost.
