Thomas Tusser was born in 1515 in Doncaster, England. He married Margaret Aylward in 1537, and had four children. He died at age seventy-five in 1580. Tusser is best known for his works of agricultural poetry, which are colloquially known as "Tusser's Five Hens." (The poem of the same name appears in Rymes of Olde)
