Steven Kassels is a writer and teacher living in New York City. He was an editor and contributing writer for the New York Times Magazine and the American Scholar. His first book of essays, "The New Happiness: A Path to Greater Well-Being, Sanity and Sense of Wonder," was published in 2009. His second book, "The Life Project: A Memoir of Love, Loss and Moving On," was published by Little Brown in 2012
Kassels is also a co-founder of the Life Project Writing Studio.
