Steve Nash is a member of both the Canadian and the U.S. National Basketball Associations, with over 13 years experience as a professional athlete. He is best known for his career as a guard in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Nash was born on July 2, 1974 in Victoria, British Columbia and played college basketball at Santa Clara University and the University of Arizona. He was drafted 3rd overall by the Atlanta Hawks in 1996 and stayed with them until 2001 when he signed as a free agent with the Phoenix Suns

Nash won an NBA Championship in 2003–2004 with the Suns and returned to win another championship with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011–2012. During his NBA career Nash also won two Most Valuable Player Awards (MVP) and one Sixth Man of the Year Award (2004).
