Stanislaw Jerzy Lec (1917-2009) was an outstanding Polish psychologist, Professor of Psychology, Dean of the faculty of Psychology at the University of Warsaw. He was President of the Polish Psychological Society, founder and president of the International Association of Logotherapy, member of the editorial board of the Journal of Rational-Emotive & Cognitive Behavior Therapy (London), member of many international academies and institutes, member of the International Academy for Psychotherapy (USA), winner of numerous awards for his work in psychotherapy.
