Stan Sakai is a cartoonist and writer. He is most famous for his work on the award-winning comic book series, "Usagi Yojimbo" (translated as "Rabbit Man"). The original Usagi stories were written and drawn by Sakai starting in 1978. He has also written a great many graphic novels, including "The Complete Peanuts" and “Asterios Polyp”
He has won over a dozen awards for his work, including the National Cartoonists Society's "Reuben Award", their highest honor. Sakai currently lives with his wife and son in Los Angeles, California.
