Born in Mumbai, Sneha Ameya attended St. Xavier's College, Mumbai for her undergraduate degree, before transferring to the University of Pennsylvania, where she completed a Bachelor's degree in English Literature. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Pennsylvania, where she studies Indian English Literature. Her first novel, The Shadow Prince, was published in 2014
