Simon Dunn was born in the UK in 1965. He grew up in Kent and moved to Manchester in 1990. He studied English Literature at Nottingham University for two years before dropping out to devote himself to music. In 1989 he formed The Human League with Shaun Keaveny and Philip Oakey, and they played the UK Top 10 with their first single "Being Boiled" in September 1990
The band split up in 1992 after a farewell tour which included a performance at Live Aid. In 1993 Dunn produced a remix of Boogie Pimps' "I Need a Beat" which hit No. 12 in the UK charts.
He has had several hits as a solo artist including "Do It Like That" (No. 1), "Right on Time" (No.4), "The Enemy" (No.7) and "Any Other Way" (No.13). His most recent single is "Never Gonna Let You Go" which hit No.11 in July 2000.
