Sheryl Suzanne Crow (born December 9, 1962) is an American musician and actress. After signing with A&M Records in 1988, Crow released her debut album, Tuesday Night Music Club, in 1989. The album yielded three Grammy Award-winning singles: "The First Cut Is the Deepest", "All I Wanna Do", and "My Favorite Mistake". In 1992, Crow signed with Columbia Records and released her self-titled third studio album. The album was a commercial success spawning two hit singles: "Strong Enough" and "If It Makes You Happy".
The following year she released the single "Every Day Is a Winding Road," which hit number one on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks charts, becoming Crow's first number one single on the former chart.
Her fourth studio album, Wildflower , was released in November 1996 and produced five hit singles: "How Still My Love", "Strong Enough", "If It Makes You Happy", "It's a Little Too Late" and "You Upset Me Baby". In 2001, Crow left Columbia for a joint venture with Volcano Records. Her eighth studio album, Detours (2004), failed to repeat the commercial success of her previous efforts; however, it produced three hit singles: "My Favorite Mistake", "Strong Enough", and "Soak Up the Sun".
She has sold over 50 million records worldwide.
