Sherman Kennon is the author of the best-selling autobiography, The Best Man. He was born and raised in Pembroke, Massachusetts and graduated from Pembroke High School. He received a B.A. from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine and a J.D
from Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. After graduating from law school, he moved to Chicago where he began his career in the law firm of Sidley Austin. He practiced law in Chicago for seven years and then moved to Washington, D.C., where he practiced law until his retirement in 1997.
He currently resides in Virginia with his wife and their two dogs.
