Scott Weiss is an acclaimed author, entrepreneur, and former Wall Street trader. Scott was born in Illinois and grew up in northern New Jersey. Scott then moved back to New York, and joined the Wall Street trading desk at Bear Stearns and later Lehman Brothers. During this time he attended Columbia University and received his MBA from Columbia Business School. After leaving Wall Street, Scott became an entrepreneur and started two companies: a social networking company called Feedster; and a real estate investment firm called Equity Capital Partners (ECP).
In 2009, Scott started a new venture with former Bear Stearns partner, Steve Siegel. Together they founded the real estate development firm Citicorp Development & Management (CDM). The firm has built several residential developments in Brooklyn including the Kaufman Astoria Studios; One Brooklyn Bridge Park; and Empire Outlets Brooklyn Bridge Park.
