Sana Krasikov is a Russian-born, UK-based journalist and a two-time winner of the prestigious Martha Gellhorn Prize for Journalism. Since 2000 she has been working in the Balkans, reporting on wars and atrocities, with her work appearing in numerous publications such as The Guardian, The Independent, Der Spiegel, The New York Review of Books, Le Monde Diplomatique and the New York Times. Sana was shortlisted for the 2015 Martha Gellhorn Prize for Journalism along with her colleagues from the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN) who were awarded the prize last year.
