Samuel A. Aykroyd is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, and producer. He is known for his work on the sketch comedy series SCTV (1977–1984), which was a critical success and a cult hit throughout the 1980s. Aykroyd has won two Emmy Awards and a Genie Award, and received a star on Canada's Walk of Fame in 1997
He has also received three Canadian Comedy Awards for being "The Best Male Improviser". Aykroyd also appears as a semi-regular cast member on the television show Saturday Night Live (1975– ).
