Sammy has been writing since he was about five or six years old. His first foray into the world of publishing was in the mid-1970s. He had written over twenty-five novels, novellas, short stories and plays before making his first appearance on the New York Times Best Seller list with "The Lost Boy" (1979). Since then, he has produced his own series of books, including "Lonely Planet", "Amazing Animals", "My Life in the Bank" and "My Life in the Nursery" which were all published by Harper Collins
He has also written for television, including "Reunited", "Famous Five Find Five Lost Treasure" for CBBC, as well as numerous TV commercials for major companies.
