Sabrina Carpenter is an American singer and songwriter. She is signed to Hollywood Records and released her debut EP, "Carnival" in 2016. Carpenter's debut single, "You'll Never Know", was released on August 10, 2016 and peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100. The music video for the song has over 300 million views on YouTube.

Her father, William "Willie" Carpenter, became a prominent businessman in Memphis after he graduated from high school and received a football scholarship to attend the University of Tennessee. While attending the university, he met his future wife Jayne and they married after graduation. She attended Mary McLeod Bethune High School in Memphis where she played basketball and graduated in 2013.
Carpenter began writing songs at age nine and began posting her compositions on YouTube under the name SabrinaAdriana by the time she was twelve years old.
She started recording at age thirteen with producer Andrew Mabbitt, who also produced her first single "Heaven" for Disney's The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement soundtrack. She later signed with Hollywood Records after being discovered by songwriter Joshua Coleman through YouTube, where she had garnered over 750,000 subscribers. She is currently working on her debut album under Republic Records.
