Rusty Berkus is an American television personality, designer, author, and entrepreneur. She was the creator of the Emmy Award-winning HGTV shows Design Star (2005) and Design Star (2006), which were produced by Scripps Networks Interactive, one of the world's largest producers of home improvement and design content. Berkus is also the co-host of "HGTV Dream Home" (season 6, episode 22) which aired on October 26, 2012. She is an avid philanthropist and supporter of youth empowerment, education, and humanitarian causes. She has designed over 6,000 homes which have been featured in various books and magazines including Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Vogue Living, Bazaar, Sunset Magazine and many more. Her work with Habitat for Humanity International has resulted in the creation of over 2000 homes in Guatemala
She has received numerous awards for her work including the American Institute of Architects' 2013 National Honor Award in recognition for her humanitarian work in Guatemala. Berkus created several other TV shows including "Rusty's Real Deal", with her husband Rusty Berkus (2006) and "Rusty Rides Roughshod", which airs on syndicated channel GAC in Las Vegas only. She is currently developing content for multiple brands under her ownership including a personal styling service called Style Me With You as well as a website stylebyrusty.com. Berkus is a New York Times best-selling author of three books: Style Me With You: A Personal Stylist's Guide to Looking Your Best Every Day (2011), The Beauty Bible: The Complete Guide to Beauty from Hair to Nails (2014), and Style Me With You: A Personal Stylist's Guide to Looking Your Best Every Day - Deluxe Version (2014). She also authored 'Style Me With You: A Personal Stylist's Guide to Looking Your Best Every Day' - Pocket Edition (2016).
She is currently working on a fourth book called 'Style Me With You: A Personal Stylist's Guide to Looking Your Best Every Day -Birthday Edition.' When not working as a stylist she dabbles as a designer and cookbook author with her latest cookbook being published in November 2016 titled 'Rusty Bakes Good!'
