3 Quotes & Sayings By Rudolf Clausius

Rudolf Clausius was a German physicist who made important contributions to thermodynamics and statistical mechanics. He was the first to apply the principle of thermodynamic equilibrium to systems at constant volume. In 1854 he published a paper in which he derived an equation that now bears his name. The Clausius-Clapeyron equation is a formula that relates the pressure, volume, and temperature of a perfect gas to their respective values at a fixed temperature and a fixed pressure, usually considered as a state of rest.
