She began writing short stories at the age of ten and continued with short stories, essays, plays and poetry throughout her teenage years. She wrote several screenplays as a teen that were never produced. At Columbia, she wrote a one-act play that was performed as part of the university’s theatre festival.
She met her husband on a blind date after meeting him on a plane ride to Iran to visit his relatives. They married in 2004 and have a son. Roxanna currently lives in Los Angeles, California where she writes books, plays, scripts and poems.
