Robert K. Tanenbaum is a senior associate dean of the University of Michigan's College of Engineering and a professor of mechanical engineering. He has a long-standing research interest in the study of the properties and behavior of polymers and their composites, and has published extensively on topics related to these topics, as well as computational materials science. Professor Tanenbaum is currently involved in several large-scale multimaterial projects at the intersection of polymer design, material composites, and functional surfaces.
