Richard Handler is an author, playwright, and story teller. He has written over twenty novels, including the Children of the Gods series (published by HarperCollins) and the award winning children's book The Papoose. His latest novel, The Key to Life (Penguin), is based on the real-life events that inspired it. Handler has also co-written three nonfiction books with his wife, Lillian; one about his experiences as a youth in Nazi Germany (The Holocaust Survivor's Story) and two about raising their children (How to Raise an Advocate and How to Raise an Artist)
He has developed several bestselling self-help programs based on his life experiences. The first of these was The Power of Simply Being Present; it has been translated into eight languages. He is also known for his play Puttin' On the Ritz, which he wrote for his two sons, now grown.
