Her latest book is "How to get respect". She is also an expert on different social issues. The author holds an MA Degree in sociology from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
She has previously worked for various government agencies including the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) and UNICEF amongst others. She has also worked at The Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS) in Singapore, which is the largest research institute in Asia specializing in studies on Southeast Asia. She is a former member of the board of trustees of Bangladesh Youth Council (BYC).
She has also been conferred with several awards including "Best Author Award" by "The Shakila Foundation" during its inaugural ceremony held in Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2011. The Shakila Foundation was set up by renowned Bangladeshi actress Shakila Zaman Chowdhury to promote ethics and encourage civic activism among young people.
