Goswami is a Fellow of American Psychological Association (APA) and has received numerous awards such as Fulbright, Cuddington, and Doyen fellowships. He is also a Professional Member of APA, Indian Academy of Paediatrics, Indian Medical Association, etc. Dr.
Goswami was the Coordinator of National Child Protection Project at University of Michigan for seven years, where he was also a Professor of Psychology. He has been involved in several projects focusing on child protection issues including studies on child sexual abuse prevention program evaluation, child abuse recognition training for medical professionals, effective prevention strategies for sexual abuse victims of children under four years old using video games, etc. His work has been published widely in scholarly journals including American Journal of Public Health, Pediatrics, Journal of Social Service Research, International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, Journal of Pediatric Psychology, etc., while his work has been widely cited by other scholars in their articles published in scholarly journals or presented at conferences around the world.
