Phil Collins is an English rock musician, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist who has sold more than 150 million records. He was the drummer and co-founder of the rock group Genesis. He also had a career as a solo artist and recorded chart-topping albums in both the 1970s and 1980s. His solo hits include "Sussudio", "Another Day in Paradise", "Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)", "I Can't Dance" and "One More Night"
Collins also performed the drums on the Genesis song "Invisible Touch". Collins's drumming style is marked by its technical proficiency, with much focus on rudimental drumming. Collins has been quoted as saying that "[i]t's not about how big you can drum, it's about how well you can play." In 1986, he released his drumming instruction book "Drumming for Beginners." In 2007, he published a self-help book titled "How to Play Drums: The Art of Performing by Heart". In 2008, Collins released his autobiography titled "Not Dead Yet: My Life So Far."
