Peter Scazzero is the Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation for Self-Esteem, a nationally recognized leader in the field of self-esteem development. He believes that all young people deserve the opportunity to live with optimism, hope, and confidence. After graduating from Villanova University, he began his career as an inner city high school social worker in Philadelphia. While at Widener University, he developed a program for at-risk adolescents with the goal of developing their self-esteem. Peter was later recruited by renowned psychologist Dr. Martin Seligman to direct his own program of research titled "Character Strengths of Adolescents." Since then, he has consulted with many organizations including The National Football League Players Association, The Federal Bureau of Investigation, The American Red Cross, The Department of Defense, The United States Marine Corps and The National Institutes of Health.
He has also served as a consultant on various radio and television programs.
