Peter Fryer is an author, journalist, broadcaster and public speaker. He is the bestselling author of the critically acclaimed thriller which began with The Last Testament of Sherlock Holmes. His novel The Night Watchman’s Tale has been awarded the Washington State Book Award in the category of Mystery/Thriller. The Night Watchman’s Tale was also shortlisted for the Edgar Award in the Best Mystery Novel category in 2012
Peter is also the author of A Certain Idea, which was shortlisted for the Costa First Novel award in 2011, The Last Testament of Sherlock Holmes, which was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize in 2011 and nominated for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize in 2012, and A Queer and Pleasant Danger, which was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize in 2010. Peter has worked as a presenter on BBC Radio 4's Front Row. He is married with two children and lives in south-west England.
