Patricia Nedelea is the author of over a dozen books, including the best-selling novel, The Woman Who Learned to Read in a Week. Her books have been translated into ten languages and have been featured on Oprah's Book Club, The Learning Channel, and A&E. She has received a number of awards for her writing, including a 2003 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Single Documentary from the National Educational Telecommunications Association. She lives in New York City with her husband and three children.
