Parna Chowdhury is a writer, a mother and a wife. A daughter of a teacher in a village, she spent her childhood in a small town in the hills of Darjeeling, India. Her father was inspired by the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and became one of his most ardent followers during his school days in India. Her mother has been an ardent follower of Mahatma Gandhi since her college days
In her teens, Parna was brought up on vegetarianism and social activism, with a strong emphasis on helping the less privileged. She received her Bachelors in English Literature from the University of Delhi with a specialty in English Literature, which propelled her into a career that would take her to different countries and multiple continents.
