Omar El Kadhimi was born in Cairo in 1959, and he studied Political Sciences and International Relations at the University of Paris (Panthéon-Sorbonne). His books have been published in the Arabic language. He has published several books on politics and has contributed to various newspapers and magazines in Egypt and abroad. He is a founder of "Gulf Institute for Peace and Development". A founding member of the National Council for Human Rights, he is also a co-founder of the Arab Center for the Independence of Judges and Lawyers, an Egyptian non-profit association committed to defending human rights. Omar El Kadhimi was nominated by the King Abdulaziz Foundation for his efforts in support of human rights.
