Nana Mouskouri is a Greek opera singer and songwriter. During the 1950s and 1960s, she sang to international acclaim in such films as The Egyptian and David and Bathsheba. She has since become very popular in the UK, with her first UK Top 10 hit coming at the age of 39. Her songs, which often feature a mixture of English, Greek, French and Ladin lyrics, have been translated into many languages
Nana Mouskouri is a regular contributor to Greek television and radio programmes, as well as a frequent guest on other programs around the world. In 1981 she was named Woman of the Year by Greece.
