Muhammad Anwar Jalil is an international human rights lawyer, currently the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. He was a Senior Fellow at Trinity College, University of Melbourne. He is a former Deputy Prosecutor with the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and former Special Rapporteur to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights. He has been a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague since 2007 and a Member of the Council of Advisers to the International Commission of Jurists
