Minnie Estelle Miller was born in Chicago, Illinois, on May 16, 1891. She was educated at the University of Chicago, where she received her B. A. degree in 1915
Her first marriage was to Dr. Thomas L. Rice, who died in 1920.
During the 1920s she wrote a number of books for boys that were published by the Doubleday & McClure Syndicate and written under the name "Anne Pardee." In 1930 she married Dr. William C. Miller and moved to Georgia.
Beginning in 1941 she wrote a series of popular novels for girls under the name Minnie Estelle Miller. She died on Nov. 2, 1970 at the home of her son, Dr.
William C. Miller Jr., in Forsyth, Georgia, and is buried there at Lakeview Cemetery along with her husband and son
