But when your older, you start to realize that what really matters is other people
You realize that family and friends and neighbors and even strangers are the very things that fill up the emptiness of life. When you're a kid, you think fame and fortune are things that only happen to other people. When you're older, you understand that they're not really all that important. If they were, then everyone would be famous and wealthy.
But because most people are ordinary, not everyone gets them. Not everyone is born into money or celebrity or power or fame or beauty or intelligence or talent or wealth or good looks. So these things are not real—they are only illusions in our minds. When you're a kid, everything seems impossible to most people.
But when you get older, everything becomes possible if you work hard enough at it. The world doesn't come with instructions on how it works, but young kids try their best with what they have to work with—their imaginations—and build up something they can be proud of when they're grown up. That's what I did with my life when I was a kid—I built my own dreams out of things I had no right thinking I could ever have in my life. And then I found out that if I would just keep working hard at what I thought was impossible, it could happen for me after all! And so here I am—doing it!
