Mary Morris is a writer of both fiction and nonfiction. She won the 2013 PEN Center USA West Award for her nonfiction work, "The Death of Socrates." Her novel The House on Hope Street (2012) garnered the 2013 PEN USA Literary Award in the category of Fiction.
