Marcella Pixley is an author of young adult fiction. She was born in Washington, D.C. in 1938 and grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. Her full-length novels for young adults include: The Last Kingdom, The Kingdom Keepers, The Kingdom Keeper Mystery series, the Kingdom Keepers series and the History Keepers series
Her short fiction has been published in magazines and anthologies including: "Exploring America", "Crossroads", "The Mammoth Book of Best New Horror", "The Mammoth Book of Scary Stories", "The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror Volume Three", "Worlds Without End" and "The Book of Night with Moon". Her non-fiction book includes: the book review feature "Marcella Pixley's Reading Room" which appeared from 1987 to 1995 in The Baltimore Sun. Pixley lives in Maryland with her husband John, where she is a member of the Baltimore Writers' Group.
