Mansur Hasib is a writer, broadcaster, editor and director. In 1998 he founded the independent publishing house Anmol Publications, which has published numerous literary and critical works of fiction and nonfiction. He is also the founder of the annual literary festival PULAJ organised by students from Delhi University's departments of English, History and Anthropology. He has been a jury member at several international literary competitions including Novel India, India Book of the Year Awards, Madras Poetry Society Awards and Konkani Literary Festival
Hasib was awarded the Padma Shri in 2006 for his contribution to literature.
