Louise Hart was born in England in the town of Leicester, in the East Midlands. She was educated at the University of Southampton, where she studied History and Archaeology. After graduating she worked for BBC Radio Leicester, BBC Radio London and BBC Radio Oxford. Her second novel, A Duke of Her Own, followed in 2000 and was a bestseller. Since then she has published a further three novels: A Duke of Shadows (2005), A Gentleman of Pleasure (2008) and A Lady of Secrets (2012). Her books have been translated into many languages including Chinese, French, German, Dutch and Italian.
In 2013 Louise moved from London to Norfolk with her husband and two children to be near family members who had recently moved from London. They both enjoy travelling for pleasure and have been to many countries including Italy, Greece, Spain and Portugal. Louise's hobbies include reading and cooking.
